The water tanks are formed as one piece or split mouldings manufactured from unsaturated polyester resin, reinforced with glass fibre to BS7491 (Parts 1 and 2). Tanks are unaffected by extremes of temperature. Durable tanks are tested and approved by the Water Research Centre. With the awareness of legionella and water borne health hazards, the interior surfaces are smooth with generous radii to facilitate official and thorough cleaning. The availability of the pre-insulated tanks enables stored water to be protected against heat gain, keeping water below the recommended 20oC as protection against legionella. Inner surfaces are Isophthalic gel coated approved by the Water Research Centre for storage of potable water. Rectangular containers, with non-standard shapes and sizes are available to order. No internal braces or bulk-heads necessary for rigidity. Internal surfaces are smooth with generous radii, external, natural layup finish. To comply with Byelaw 30 standard all tanks are available with lids, vents, warning pipes and screened overflow. The protected life of products is well into the next century, existing tanks are still effective some 30 years after installation. Durable tanks will not react to any materials or jointing compounds approved for the use in water supply and storage.
